Rear engine mounts

Pulled the engine out of my ‘87 cobalt, it’s got a 454 with a alpha drive. One of the rear engine mounts was sagging a bit so I’m replacing them. I got the old ones out but noticed the new ones are going to be a TIGHT fit (as they should be)

any sugestions on getting the spacer and the mount started into the sleeve on the bell housing? After tips and tricks before I give it a shot.

yes I do have a threaded rod with right sized sockets on it to press them in. Just looking for a little guidance.

Thanks in advanced

Remove the bell housing, Sand out the holes in the bell housing a little, find a socket that fits into the bell, start the mount, and press it in with a bench vise and the socket.

If you put the new mount in the freezer for a while before installing, it will help.
