This is a project two years in the making. The 19' skiff has run fine, but looks terrible. The console leaves a lot to be desired, it was original and is in pretty bad shape. i was able to purchase a new/old stock identical replacement. The old console was rigged for another brand of outboard originally. the main harness was spliced, and a side mounted Honda Remote added. Did I mention that the console in general looks terrible?
So here is the plan:
New console, new instruments (I have both Teleflex and Faria to pick from), new top mounted remote, and new key switch/kill switch etc. as needed.
Here is what came with the boat.
06240-ZW5-U40 Remote Single Top Mount
36170-ZW7-010AH 7 Wire Key Panel Harness Push Choke Harness
37552-ZW7-1A Potted Key Switch
31600-ZV5-003 Rectifier (Extra Part) I know that it has no significance for the Re-Rig
32200-ZW7-000AH Honda Teleflex Instrument Harness
40700-ZW7-000AH Alert Gauge with Pigtail
32205-ZW6-020AH 20 Wire Main Harness 20' (too long but should work?)
35118-ZW5-U01 Switch Plate
36153-ZW7-000AH Emergency Stop Switch Assembly
The gauges currently installed and working are Teleflex, I also have a new set of Faria gauges.
I also have the motor manual and wiring guide.
So here is where I need help. Front motor to console including remote, do I have the right parts/wiring harness/components to complete this task? Are the part numbers above the right units to basically plug together and build the right wiring harness? The gauge harness designates Teleflex, so that probably is the set I'll use, and I know they work.
I assume that I go from motor, to the 20 wire harness, to the remote trim pigtail, the 20 wire harness to the start switch with push to choke, and to the emergency kill, and 20 wire harness to the gauges.
I cannot find a complete listing of the part numbers to accomplish this, and only have the part numbers above that came with the boat to start with. If there was a "you need this, this, and this Honda Part Number" list somewhere, i have not been able to find it, and the local boat dealers have been no help..
The lights, horn, radio, bilge pump and so on are no problem, I understand what I need to do there.
New control cables have been installed in the Honda side mount, which has key start/choke/kill switch/trim switch/indicator lights all integrated. I'll assume that I can reuse the control cables on the new remote.
Engine specifics are: Honda BF50A Serial Number BAZS-3211145.
