Though my engines are running ok they are getting old. 1969 vintage on my 1966 boat. Thinking after the first of the year before the old girls die. Surfing the internet ive seen quite a few sites that sell new Gm built GM marinized 350cu marine long blocks. Complete with all the tin work and circulating pumps. Just need the intake,carb, ignition and exhaust from your boat if still in good shape.Im looking at the 1967 thru 1985 replacement at 260 hp and about 2, 700 dollars a piece. A little more for opposite rotation. Anyone have experience with these engines?
 
When I repowered My Alglas I bought a reman from an outfit in Florida called Rapido marine. I got a great price and shipping was more then resonable. The engine plus shipping was rigt around $1700-. But this was a reman, not new.
 
I just installed 5.7 engine from Rapido Marine great price, they shipped it down here to Panama and the shipping cost was really great and most important I'm very happy with the engine, I bought it with the heads, I had risers and exhaust manifolds sent to them and they put them into the box with the engine and shipped it. Nice people to deal with.

Note that older Chevies have different flywheels, intake, valve cover designs, and others things from the newer ones--and yours are OLD!

These are designed for 1967 thru 1985. Just right. They use the old style intakes, valve covers and are the 2 piece rear main.
 
I told them the engine I'm taking out is a 1989 and when the engine arrived it was exact copy of the engine I took out every thing fit the only thing was that the oil pump they sent was brand new regular pump but my old engine had a high performance pump so we cleaned it checked and installed it.

Go to there webb site he lists the different engines rapidomarine.com I had no problem with them and I'm at a slight handy cap being in Panama it went really smooth the even arranged freight from there shop to Panama at a shipping price I could not even come close to.
