Operating in shallow water with my AQ270DP outdrive has sucked sand into the raw water pump A mechanic I know says The intake can be moved to the underside of hull has anyone heard of or tried this Thanks MAtt

There is no advantage in movin

There is no advantage in moving the suction to the hull. You are better off installing a raw water strainer prior to the pump.
