"Can rain water in the bilge leak into the u-joint bellows? I haven't pulled the drive yet ,but plan to as soon as the gasket set arrives. The boat is an Alpha 1 with a 3.0 Thanks Ernie."

yes there is a weep hole it's there for water to enter the bilge from the bellows.
