How do you disable the quick start feature in order to do the WOT max spark advance adjustment/ timing???

However if You want to disable it there are two ways:
1:Remove the red/yellow cable from the starter solenoid going to power-pack.
2: Ground the white/black FROM power-pack to temp switch on cylinder head."

I’m trying to set my max spark timing by the Joe Reeves method, I notice that from the switch on the cylinder head there is a black/white wire as you stated, but it connects in to a brown wire (at least looks brown) that goes to the power pack, for method #2 grounding the wire coming from the switch itself won't do anything right?, I need to ground the wire that come from the power pack itself right???
If only one of the two methods is needed to disable the QSF and I’m understanding right it is much easier to do the #1 method…"
