Has any one seen a stern drive cover like this before?

I am looking at buying a used boat, and came across this and was curious to what it was. The drive is a bravo 1 performance, however I would think this cover would block the water intakes on the side? Or are they placed some where else? Also is something a seller would use to hide damage done to the stern drive. Any advice will be appreciated.

Can't see the top very well, but he has apparently installed a drive shower for additional gear oil cooling.
The lower unit may be an after-market High Performance unit..... don't know!
If no water intake at the lower unit, he has likely converted to a "thru-hull" style.

Doubt that the seller is attempting to hide anything!

ricardo is right on the money, that is what it is, i just put one on my outdrive, its a good idea!! keeps the top bearing cool. that thing cost 100.00!!! that boat also had trim tabs, thats a good idea two.

The Stainless Steel top cover is going to be close to something like this style Cooling Shower in this link.

The Shower will not block any intake cooling water for the engine, Your water intake for the engine on that Hi Performance drive should be at the nose of the lower unit housing, If so, To run the engine out on the garden hose you should need mercruiser part number 849996T1 FLUSH KITS

Ayuh,... If yer talkin' about the silver Lower Unit,...
That ain't a Cover,... That's the drive Housing...
Cooling is no doubt thru-hull...

As noted, the drive shower at the Top, is a Plus...

Thats got to be loud and fast. You won't hear yourself fart.

oops did i say that ?

Looks to be pristine, someone took care of his baby.
