Quick inline 6 carb question

The carb kit has 2 gaskets that will fit the float bowl. Should I use the black one or the cork one and is it a good idea to use purple thread locker on the bolts.

No thread locker, my preference is cork, don't use ethanol. I have had the black ones break down with ethanol too.
