Questions on what controls will work if they will?

I have a 1995 force 40hp. It died aint gonna fix it. Those controls will work with mercury motors also? What years and horse power do I need to look for in a mercury replacement. Boat is rated for a 60hp so Im gonna be looking for a 50 to 60 hp mercury thats will fit on my controls.

You should look for the newest engine you can find in your price range and not worry about replacing the controls.

Control box and cables are not expensive or difficult to install.
