Hello

Im new to the forum and living in Sweden so have patience with min spelling

I have a Cummins diesel with mercruiser stern drive connected to smartcraft intruments.

I have noticed that I cant trim up the drive in speeds above about 15 knots, trimdown is Always possible.

Also theres no limit when im trying to trim up, (speeds below 15knots) its possible to trim all the way up to the trailer position.

I have calibrated the trim within the Smartcraft instruments.

Another thing im confused about is that when I push the trim button all the way in when trim up nothing happends, when i push it in half way trim up is working, when trim down pushing the button all way in Always works, should it be this way?

Another thing is that when Í push the trim button all the way in i hear a click sound from the solenoid so it seems that one is working, the Engine and drive is from 2010, also the trottle lever hasn´t a separate trailer button, just the trim button.

Anyone that can help me with this issue?

Regards
Jack

I have a '06 Sundancer, 350 Mag, with Bravo 3. There is only one button to trim with. Push the top part of the button part of the way in is for trim. If you push it harder/farther, it will click and this will take you to the trailer position. On my SmartCraft, 0-10 is for trim and 11-25 is for trailer. Why it will not trim up at 15 knots, I do not know. Down trim is just that from anywhere, push it and it trims down. Sounds like you have something going on with your trim sender or trim sender. On each side of your outdrive are two black round "silver dollar sized" plastic pucks. The one on the starboard side is the one that tells your gauge where it is. The one on the port side is the limiter if you will-it limits your outdrive on how high or how low it will go. These often to do not last very long and are very sensitive. Looks like Mercury could build/find a better mousetrap here. You may also have a bad solenoid. Hope this helps.
