Sparky...How do you pressure check a lower unit???

What i did years ago was make

What i did years ago was make an adapter to fit the bottom drain hole.It is a tee with a gauge and shreader valve.The thread on the plug is a 3/8-nc . You apply 5-7psi (with a bycicle pump) and let the unit sit overnight.If no air leaks out water can't get in.You can buy these units and if your friends want to chip in it would be cheap to do things the correct way.I use a bycicle pump because there is no way that you could put too much pressure in to damage the seals.
