" Joe, The reason I asked the fuel line question is;
I am working on 70hp ER of my neighbors and I noticed he has a 3/8" id fuel line. He is complaining of having to pump up the bulb when he is at an idle. I was thinking his fuel pump, at an idle, can,t provide enough pressure with that big of line.
Does that really make a differance???? "

I don't think so. Do a compression test on the motor. A bad cylinder will affect crankcase pulses which in turn will affect operation of the fuel pump.Those pumps are not expensive nor are they difficult to pull apart and check for dirt in the valves.
