"I have installed points, cond

"I have installed points, condensers and coils in 3 of my own restored motors.(1959-5.5,1960-10,1956-15)I made the assumption that the Condensers were all the same for all sizes of 50's-60's motors that take this type. (OMC PN 58419)Now I have proper manuals, I see there are two types , one for mostly small motors
(OMC PN 580321 18-22 MFD) and one for the larger motors. (OMC PN 581419 25-29 MFD)I am 99% sure that I installed the condensers for the large motors in the small motors. Should I replace them with the correct ones? Thanks in advance
George"

"George.... The 581419 condens

"George.... The 581419 condensers do differ somewhat from the 580321 condensers but I too have at times installed the 581419s in place of the 580321s.

At some point in the future, if you indeed want the smaller horsepower engines to be original, install the condersers that the manual calls for, but for operating purposes I have really found no difference in the two that actually affects the engines running quality."

Thanks very much Joe! Now I do

Thanks very much Joe! Now I don't have to pull 3 starters and flywheels off and buy 6 Condensers!
That's great!
