My son has a 1986 60hp Johnson that came with the wrong carbs on it (set up for a choke), from what he does not know. He is able to get a set of carbs from a 1987 70hp Johnson but is not sure if the throat dia. would be the same. He wanted to be sure before putting the correct 60hp jets into the 70hp carbs and possibly running too lean. Would the 70 carbs with 70 jets work OK? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
