putting electronic ignition on older 3.0

Hello all, thinking about putting Delco Voyager distributor on my old 3.0 but it looks like the cap will be bumping the fuel pump. Can't find any info on a different pump or a mod to the old one. Wondering if anyone has run into this, thanks for any input!

Couldnt you just use the new design fuel pump?

You would need the fuel line and fittings from the pump to the carb unless you know how to double flare and you can fab up the fuel line yourself. It must be hard pipe and not rubber hose on the pressure line.

Ayuh,.... 3/8" automotive steel brake line is Perfect for the job,....
