"Hi all, 92 johnson 70hp. Been having some VRO problems lately. Wanted to check the pulse limiter. The manual says one way valve but I can easily blow through both sides. It maybe is slightly more restricted on the engine side but I can still blow through either way. Is this an issue? Could this be my problem and not the VRO pump itself? I run pre mix, oil side is plugged.
Does anyone know if it should blow both ways?"

"Air flows both ways, but there is a baffle/buffer plate within that pulse limiter, the purpose of which is to prevent the flames, that exist within the crankcase, from obtaining access to the pump and hoses.

Thousands of parts in my remaining stock. Not able to list them all. Let me know what you need and I'll look it up for you. Visit my eBay store at:

Adam if the engine back fires which gives you that coughing sound sound the pulse limiter valve will shut and stop the pulse wave from damaging the fuel pump diaghpram and yes it is normal to blow and suck through it.
