Adjustable pit

Adjustable pitch on the prop makes it handy for adjusting to different loads and running the boat at either economy or sport fuel consumption.

True the tips of the blades can break off, but its dead easy to replace a blade or change pitch (around 5 minutes), and a new blade is a damm site cheaper to replace than a complete metal prop.

I've had my pro-pulse for nearly 3 years and changed one blade in that time. That was due to the missus reversing the car into the prop, and her tail lights were a damm sight more expensive to replace than the prop blade was.

Overall I'm very satisfied with the prop, it cured a hole shot problem I had."
 
I've used stainless props

I've used stainless props in my guiding business for the past 20 years on 2 different boats. Trying to find some wood to touch here before I say....I have yet to have any prop work done in all that time. Where we operate there is a lot of wood (sticks and logs) in the water and have hit a few of them too. If I had to worry about operating in shallow water and hitting rocks I would look at an alternative.

"I run a 4 blade Pro-Pulse on my 140 and have to say I like it, but my 25 footer stays away from shallow water, so bottom strikes are unlikely.

The prop came with the motor (used) or else I probably would not have bought it. Although I have no complaints at this point, I still don't completely trust composite props.

I've always been too cheap to run stainless and since I operate exclusively in fresh water haven't really seen a need - the slight performance difference over a "quality" aluminum prop, in my opinion, does not justify the significant cost difference.

I run Solas 3 and 4 blade Alcup's (Aluminum alloy) on all my other motors (and one will go on my 140 if the composite ever gives me issues).

I like the replacable hub system - makes changing things easy (and yes, every motor should have at least 2 different pitch props for varying conditions and use)."
