I have reverse mounted engines
I have reverse mounted engines and v-drives so my distance to the transom mounted flappers is about 36" or so from the elbows on the manifolds. The 4 - 12" mufflers also require a down angle to reduce water intrusion. Currently is is about 12" below the elbow so the drop is moderately steep.
My engines are very throaty and loud when underway at cruise rpm say..3200. There is NO normal conversation without shouting. Is there a muffer system I could use that would accomplish the goal to keep water out and give us a chance to reduce the sound level? The 7kw genny is nearly silent but of course is not 2-454's
