Prop size

I’m having cavitation problems because the prop on my boat I just bought has many scars. I do believe I need a different pitch to get better top end, it’s a 24’ pontoon w/ a 85hp Evinrude. I use it mostly for cruising but will pull a tube some but not often. Any suggestions on what I should use , I haven’t checked on my prop to see current pitch. Thanks all for any help

Four blades with double cup work well. The pitch is important as you don't run WOT much. As you state cavitation can be a problem straight ahead & horrible in a turn. 4 blades help with these problems.

Don't pitch down from WOT rpm to far the engine will start lugging, Engine damage may and will occur
