"What are you running for a prop on your big block Arabian? I got talked into a 13x13 for skiing and it is way too small (there was no prop when I got it). I haven't even topped it out at WOT, because I do not want to go over 4500 rpm, as it will easily. I am thinking that a 14x14 is closer to what it should have."

"I am running a 14x15 on my '72 Arabian and get up to 3500 rpm, so a 14x14 would probably be perfect"

"I'm using a 14 x 15 at 5000 ft. elevation. Rpm is 4200 to 4400. Engine is in a 1969 Arabian and is slightly modified.

"The motor has the original stock cam. (Rev. rotation limits the options) Other than manifold changes, I shaved the heads about .020" and still run regular gas.
It runs very strong."

I was also thinking of shaving

I was also thinking of shaving the heads when it is time for a rebuild. I assume that you also have the flat top pistons. Do you think that shaving the heads makes a noticeable difference?
