"I purchased a high thrust prop with the markings 48-828150-6.5, to use on my 25 foot sailing boat.
the prop is heavier (perhaps 300gms heavier) and has a larger diameter than original and comes to within about 5mm of the bottom of the cavitation plate and water pickup.
Is this prop too heavy for the engine and could being so close to cavitation plate give problems for water pickup etc ?"
