"Can someone tell from looking at this pic if both props are the same rotation? Looks to me like they are different. Thanks!

"I'd say that the one on the left would turn ccw to provide forward thrust while the one on the right would turn cw.

Well teach, how'd I do?

"Thanks Tom. No offense, but I hope you are wrong. I bought the prop on the right off of eBay for $20 not knowing for sure what rotation my current prop (the one on the left) is. It's a Volvo OEM prop (PN# 814633) for in great shape...14x19 RH...anyone want to buy it for cheap?

Why sell?
Just shift the rod

Why sell?
Just shift the rod at the back of Your drive to the other side and You change rotation.
Normally RH props (the one to the right) are used on boats with steering pos at stb side to prevent listing of the boat when running.

"I did not realize it was that easy to change the rotation. This boat has starboard steering...interesting that it has always been set at LH since birth. Is there anything to be concerned about if I decide to change the rotation, other than probably having to adjust the exhaust port opposite of the way it is set now?"

"Changed the prop rotation at

"Changed the prop rotation at the gearbox, installed the new prop, and adjusted the exhaust port fin to appprox. the opposite of what it was, and then took it out for a test run. Great results except bad steering pull to the left so I need to tweak the angle of the exhaust port. My WOT RPMs are 5100, which is perfect for the AQ130C and as expected, I get 2-3 more MPH at the same RPMs as I did with the 14x17 prop. In it's 35+ year life, this boat had never seem 35 mph until today!"

"Thanks Matt. With this new (used) prop the boat also tilts to the port side some while cruising, even with a passenger approx. the same weight as I am on the port side. I'm hoping some of that goes away when I get the exhaust port angle adjusted properly to remove the steering pull to the port side."

"BZ, the boat has trim tabs, but they are not the modern day hydraulic type...they are called Step-N-Trim and basically they are stainless steel plates approx 8" wide x 6" deep x 1/2" thick whose angle can be adjusted only while the boat is out of the water. I really hesitate to spend more $$ on more modern trim tabs. If adjustment of the exhaust port does not fix the list, I may have to adjust the existing trim tabs slightly to compensate because there is nothing I can move inside the boat in order to distribute weight differently. Across the transom, the gas tank is on port side, engine in center, battery on starboard...other than those things, there is nothing heavy inside the boat."
