Prop rotation Help

Ok so I think I have this right I hope. Forward spinning the prop spins but clicks clockwise counterclockwise I can spin but the motor turns over. Neutral sins freely both directions. Reverse in both directions the engine turns over when I spin it It a 35 hp ,1986 mercury.. Thanks I have a manual I am going to throw it in the lake when I finally can go fishing lol

That is the way it was designed.----That is how it left the factory.-----All very normal !
