Problems with Trim Gauge

I have a 2000 Mercruiser 502

I have a 2000 Mercruiser 502 With a Bravo I Outdrive and The trim gauge is pointing all the way up. When I hit the up down Button the trim works but the gauge still shows up. It bounces a little so it is getting a signal but needs to be adjusted some how. Can anyone lend a hand??

I am having the same problems.
I purchased a new gauge this weekend and it didn't fix the problem.
It is obviously the Sender.
I have an Alpha I drive and the sender is located just at the pivot point of the out drive.
Pretty sure that is your problem

THERE IS USUALLY A CONNECTION

THERE IS USUALLY A CONNECTION WHERE THE SENDER WIRE HARNESS PLUGS INTO THE MAIN HARNESS (THIS IS USUALLY ON THE BACK OF THE MOTOR) CK THAT CONNECTION (COULD BE CORRODED)
