Problems idetifying brand of boat??

I just bought a boau i belive it is 1960's some where in there it has a johnson 40hp outboard engine on it if any body has any ideas i could use the help!! Thanks!!!

there should be a serial number on the transom...if so and if you know what state the boat was registered in they can do a computer match for you...if you know the name of the person that last registered it that would help too...i went in on a guys name one time i bought a boat from and he had 12 boats still in his name...the state of louisiana was pretty lax on all that at one time...we still have no sales tax on a used boat if bought from an individual...
