" My father in law has a 1964 Evenrude that he is trying to get running properly.
He has put new coils,points and condenser and plugs and wires on the motor.
We took it out for a test run and it ran pretty good at first but wouldn't reach top rpm in gear.
But it would rev out when in neutral.
After about 10 minutes of running it started to miss really bad and had no power.
He took the boat home and the top plug is black and the bottom one is a nice colour.
He had already took the carb off and gave it a cleaning before we went out.
Where should we be looking for the problem?
We are both new with out boards.
