Problem with 35 hp Evinrude

"Our 1984 35 hp Evinrude runs

"Our 1984 35 hp Evinrude runs really well both at slow trolling speed/idle and also on high speed runs. After a high speed run, however, the motor stalls when throttled back to trolling/idle. It refuses to restart unless the low speed mixture screw is readjusted. It will then run fine until the next high speed run to low speed transition. It almost acts as if the mixture screw is vibrating out of adjustment during the high speed runs. Does anyone have experience with this and any possible causes/solutions.

"Thanks jwmarine........where is the nylon bushing located and what is the best way to check that is there and what it's condition is? Is the bushing available for replacement? If I purchased a carburetor kit for this carb, would the nylon bushing be part of the kit? Thanks, Georgen"
