"Problem with Merc Outboard
Hi,I'm new here,figured I'd introduce myself a little bit,before I ask away.My name's Bobby,my fishing partner is Vinny.He bought a totally redone 25 Bertram with twin Merc 200 offshores,and I bought(and am still buying)all kinds of tuna gear.Unfortunately,we only got out twice for tuna this year.(we went 1 for 2)Anyways,onto the problem....

Hey guys,we've got twin 200 Merc efi offshores. The starboard engine is sounding the oil alarm. Not the steady beep but the beep-beep-beep......
The engine runs fine, and starts right up after being first lowered, but after runing it,if you kill it,and start it back up,it sputters and doesn't wana start(it will start on the fourth or fifth try)
As far as we know, there are only two parts with sensors, the fuel pump, and there's another little part just aft and above the fuel pump.
I'm just hoping someone here could give us a little insight.Thanks,Bobby.

That alarm is wired to the wat

That alarm is wired to the water seperator filter as well.
The oil gear has a sensor on some engines.
The reserve oil tank needs to stay filled to the top.
The computer may cause an alarm if one of it's sensors goes bad.
