My 60 horse does not have EFI, it's a carburetor. It starts fine and idles okay. When I increase the throttle, it runs beautifully for about 15 or 20 seconds. At that time it emits a loud shrill squeal. If I don't ease off on the throttle instantly, the motor loses power and will die. I can wait a few minutes, restart it, and it will run great at idle speed only. But the minute I increase the throttle speed, the screech starts up again. It almost sounds like a warning signal of some sort. I have checked the engine oil and it's fine. I have not checked the the lower unit oil. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks.
