Problem dropping LU 1977 55HP Johnson

Someone out there must have a way of getting seized drive shaft out of crank. I have removed 6 bolts and disconnected shift lever. I have some horizontal movement but no vertical movement. I have tried wooden and plastic wedges and have tried driving it down with 2x4 and big hammer. The last thing I tried was hooking 10' log chain around LU and snapping it. Come on someone Help. Thanks

On that model, is there 1/2 bolt under the trim tab that has to come out?

Yes there was a bolt under the stabilizer tab. I'm sure all the bolts are out. Thanks

any Idea when the lower unit was last off? you may have to remove the block from the motor.

I would think this motor has been sitting on old boat for years. I might have to go from top down but had hopes that someone out there would have magical solution,. Thanks
