auto fuel line will do....just

auto fuel line will do....just make sure you dont kink it......make loops to avoid kinking it..when you have tight turns to make.

which barb did you break?

what is the model #?

you can go to shopevinrude.com and get exploded parts diagrams and complete parts descriptions....and of course part #s and price/availability

it is under the intake manifold section under parts....just go to johnson then go to 87 and of course your model # then go to intake mafold and voila

looks like the part # is 0511807 ----#20 in the diagram and it is $15.99 .......the gasket # is 0511808 and it is $6.59 ---#21 in the diagram

hope this is what you where looking for."

The funny part was that the kit in time was cheaper than the cap and gasket! At least be sure You get the new one in alu and not another cracking plastic one!

"i did not know,they were making them,in aluminum,..all i have ordered,have been the plastic,do u have a new number,i would love to have it,..repl a cracked one today..."

"All the ones I got in the mod

"All the ones I got in the modification kits were alu. However as things have turned out, 'someone' might have taken over the plastic tool and kept on producing the 'old' ones."

"The supplier was definitely OMC/BRP. However I closed down in 2004 and have been searching all lists for the conversion kit number without success. As the kit was priced less than the cover alone, I always used the kit when replacing the old covers. If anyone has a primer solenoid with valve, that one should be in alu with the number on it."

"do u think, this could have been 'area' or 'location' specific' for some reason,i have never seen or heard of them in aluminum, nor in the service or parts manuals....but very interested..."

"I have no idea. I was operating in Norway, and we got our parts straight from OMC Belgium by DHL mostly. The covers were all black painted."
