Please be so kind and explain me what is primer bulb in fuel system

It is nothing but a maual fuel pump operated by hand.--------This saves the electric starter from having to do this.----------On a manual start motor it saves your muscles from filling the carburetor via the recoil starter.

The primer bulb is a manual fuel pump,which is squeezed several times until it's firm,to help with starting the outboard.It primes the carbs. There'd be a lot of cranking before the engines fuel pump would manage to drag the fuel from the tank to the carbs.The primer bulb is inline between the tank and engine.

it has a check valve in it so make sure the arrow points toward the motor..
