Primer bulb issue

Has anyone ever found that one primer bulb worked for a 40 hp vro primer system when a attwood bulb wouldn't? Cold star primer works with small bulb but not with larger attwood bulb. I'm I going crazy? Tired of scatching head. My neighbors line works on my motor but my new attwood set up will not work. His bulb is smaller. Help!

No offense intended but that Attwood bulb wasn't installed backwards by any chance? (It happens). The Attwood, although new, might have had a faulty valve.

None taken, no it was installed correctly. Was up late last night and pinned it down. It was a faulty hose end leaking at the base. It wasn't leaking fuel just letting the line lose pressure. Thanks for the help. I'm new to the forum and a pretty decent mechanic (could see the Forest for trees on this one till the end) so if you need help with anything look me up I'll try and return the favor.
