I bought an extra module and installed it tonight. I've done this with other parts proactively so I know I have a good spare and have all the tools on board if the "other" fails (and know how to change it). I'm wondering if I should just replace the other one too, they're both original from '89.
Fuel pumps, coils, etc., I've done in pairs and kept a spare on board. I was initially just going to keep the new on board as the spare but didn't want to find out at some point in the future it wasn't the right one or was DOA.
What would you guys do? My mechanical advance springs are ok so my plan was to keep using these distributors for a while. Is the other module on borrowed time at 22 years?
