Pressure Test alpha one gen 2?

Often reader, first time poster. I'm unclear on something and would appreciate any help. Is it possible to pressure test a A1 G2 lower only? My boat is stored 1.5 hours from the house. I've changed impellers numerous times and am comfortable handling the lower only but not the upper/lower combined. I plan to bring the lower to the house for servicing and would like to pressure test if possible. If it is possible please describe the procedure. Thanks for any help

Thanks Bt Doctur. That's what I was wondering. It's not a threaded orifice either is it? Any suggestions on how to do that? I suppose one might be able to hold a thumb on it momentary to get a quick read. My unit is loosing oil somewhat but not an alarming rate. I just refill the bottle and go on. It's not milking up. It's a 2002 with 1,200 hours. I'm the original owner. 100% freshwater use. 21' open bow. It's in need of a lower shift cable and a general inspection that comes with pulling the upper. The shift cable is beyond my abilities so it's going to the shop soon. I enjoy doing my own maintenance so I thought I would save some labor on the lower. Thanks for your response.

shift cable is not rocket science , if you can turn a wrench you can change it. With1200 hours betting the leaker is the seals under the water pump housing

Ayuh,.... It's also a 'ell of alot easier to pull the entire drive, rather than just the lower unit,.......

Yes I can see that now after reading lots of posts (except for the fact I don't have sterndrive stand/cart). I've now decided to pull the upper and inspect everything that should've been done much sooner. It's a 2002 5.0 MPI, A1 G2 with 1,200 hours. The last time the drive was off, according to my records, would have been 8 years and 400 hours ago. Question: does already having removed the lower cause any special concerns with removing the upper? The boat has always been stored indoors, drive lowered, and 100% freshwater use. Thanks for the input.
