Pre-alpha drive trim no longer works

Hi everyone,

So yesterday while i was out on the water i noticed that my power trim suddenly wasn't working anymore. I could still hear the trim motor (although the sound was slightly louder than usual) but it would not come up or down at all.

When i got the boat out of the water i noticed there was no resistance at all on the trim cylinders which allowed me to manually push it all the way up and secure it with binding strap for the drive home...


Can anyone tell me how to diagnose the culprit?

Hi. I think you're right. i had my wife operate the trim while i was looking at the pump and saw some oil leaking from it and into the bilge...

Now what's funny is my pump seems to have no apparent reservoir so how would i fill it up?

There's really not much space to work around in there so i guess i'll have to pull it out and inspect everything. Any tips to getting this done effectively?

It seems like i have the older single solenoid pump with a black metal reservoir if that helps. How can i locate a rebuild kit fot that? how do i refill the oil?
