PowerheadLower Unit interchangeability

I have an '88 110 with a b

I have an '88 110 with a bad powerhead (rod thrown through block) & an '86 110 which is good. Can I swap the powerhead from the 86 and mount it on the lower unit of the 88 keeping all the controls in place? Is the bolt pattern the same?
