"ok i have goten all bolts, screws allens, and everything else out. i or we even droped the lowen unit. I was going to any way to replace the impeller but we can't get the power head off. it will come up a bout 2 inches and that is it we have tried turning the crankshaft everything we could think of but the powerhead will not come out

it acts like something in the front of the powerhead is holding it down its almost like a spring is holding it

"oh yes this is a 1988 50 hp force motor . it has been a good one until we hit some sand in a lake and it shot the impeller, then it ran a little hot so we are rebuilding the powerhead along with theimpeller houseing
