Power trim/tilt 1997 50 hp

Honda 50LRTA 1997. Power trim tilt has been working badly last two years. Two weeks ago it stopped going up/down. (The tilt/trim motor has been working all time.) Three days later it did work again. Last week i have been "exercising" it up and down more than 50 times. Yesterday it worked like new!
BUT there is a leak, oil is pressed from the tilt/trim motor into the two cables and emerges from the plastic connector.
Something is wrong but what?

Most likely, you have a seal under the motor that has failed. Check part numbers 37 and 38. 37 is probably the problem, but you should change them both.

The oil is coming up through the seals and into your motor.

That does not mean there are other things wrong, but that is a place to start.
