Power trim cyclinder

No,it's not a big job.You will need the special tool,or make one up,to remove the cap.Then, if the ram itself is good,ie. no pitting,rust,just change the seals,refill,bleed and she should be good to go.
Oh I haven't done it on a Mercury,don't have the luxury of PTT on my beautiful Merc800, did it on a Yamaha 75:D
 
Look for a junk top hinge from a refridgerator for a tool to remove the cap...it has two pins that match up the cap holes.
