I have a 78 Evinrude motor. The tilt/trim is shot (hydraulically) 400-600 to replace. So...I noticed that the two cylinders on the lower unit )shocks) are not fully down and cannot be retracted. Can I still use this boat and get a manual lift bar to pull motor up/down. Do I need to concern myself about the motor moving up or down in water without the tilt/trim hooked up?
