Power Tilt/Trim Compatibility

Good morning!

I have a 1979 Johnson 235 outboard with leaking hydraulics on the trim assembly and the dealer is backed up and can't restore it for me for a few weeks. I do have a good assembly out of 1989 Johnson 110 - can I swap that into the 235?

110 SN - J110TLAEM
235 SN - 235TL70A

Go to the parts books and compare the units.

If you have the relays from the 110 motor also they should swap. They use different motors and different relays set ups.
