i have a 1978 Chrysler 115 hp outboard on an old ranger boat. the motor runs great, but the power tilt and trim crapped out. I know the bad part is the part on top that holds the brushes is all cracked and broken on mine. they don't sell parts for this anywhere that I have looked, Do you know where or how I could find or fix this?

Can you post photos of the pump?

the second picture is from above, that broken piece is the part that holds the brushes for that motor, as you can see mine is broken beyond repair. my son had opened this up thinking he could fix it because it would intermittently lose power and you would have to tap the housing with a hammer, but now it's shot, yea atta boy. any idea where I could find this part?

That looks very much like the tilt motor found on Johnson / Evinrude in the 1970's-----Perhaps a good boat shop can find the time to help you.----I found a similar looking part for about $40.
