Hello, will a 1978 115 power tilt & trim unit be compatible with a non-t&t 1987 110 VRO? Looking at the parts diagram the basic body (Manifold) and reservoir are the same part number, though the motors are different and other differences such as 2 or 3 wire setups and solenoid VS non-solenoid.
I recently purchased a 1987 110 VRO J110MLCUR and have a opportunity to puschase a T&T unit from a 1978 115 Model 1158996.
If in fact the unit is compatible with my motor are there any other components (engine wise) that would need modification? My OMC controls have no provision for the T&T switch but a simple three way toggle switch would be sufficient I think. Your expertise is greatly appreciated.
