Power steering

Hi everyone, I just acquired another boat as a doaner. outdrive & engine are good & same as my boat. 470 / Alpha 1. This doaner boat has power steering & mine does not. Can I just add this power steering to my boat? Or do I need to change the steering cable and any other stuff. Thanks for any info.
 
I have PS on mine (305 V-8), but I ran it last year with the belt off since it had a leak. Honestly, if the ram wasn't connect to the steering arm (which makes it harder to turn) I'm sure it would have steered acceptably without the PS. (Ever drive your car with the motor shut off?) It didn't steer badly at all, and that's with the ram still hooked up.

My point is, after going through all that hassle, you might be very disappointed.

Thanks guy's, I think I will leave it alone. No sense installing something that could possibly cause a problem or leak when it is just fine now. Thanks again. Happy boating.
