I have a 1998 5.7 gsi. The power steering ram is leaking and I can't get it off the engine. I've done this replacement once before and it was easy. This time one of the two pins securing the far end of the ram is stuck. I've soaked it with blaster, used a C-clamp on it as a puller to force it out of the hole and no result. This is the pin that also secures the lever arm to the drive. The lever arm is free, the problem appears to be where the stainless pin goes through the aluminum ram housing. There is no sign of corrosion and I keep the whole area well lubed with corrosion block.
