"So it seems the title on my boat "mechanics special" is just that.
Every time I put the boat in the water and fix a problem something new follows.
First thing was easy, replace risers and elbows. next intermitant starting, now the steering fluid pump is dry. I filled it up and started the engine only to hear it spitting out of the hose in a next to impossible place to work on...
Also on my return trip, the engine lost power when I went over 30.
So I guess this is s 2 part question
1) Is the power steering hose held on by a gear clamp? There was none there when i felt around
2) if the engine runs fine at say 25mph, and boggs when I go a bit faster mean that I have water in my fuel pump or fuel line?
Thanks"
