Power steering application

I am not quite sure exactly what you are asking here.

The steering systems are like an "add on" to the motor, so if you remove the hydraulic system and it's components, whether is electrically assisted or not you have NO steering.

You could retrofit it with conventional cable steering, one or two cable system, put an after market hydraulic system on or any other concoction that is out there.

So if your question is, could you remove whatever system you have from a NON-VERADO motor and then install the complete system that you have seen used with a Verado, the answer is probably yes if the final components that connect the motor to the steering piston can be hooked up to work (never done this myself, but with enough jury rigging just about anything is possible).

The electric-hydraulic steering you have seen is an "optional accessory".
