1986 4.3 Alpha One. Tried to start today and discovered only 6 volts at my electric fuel pump. This pump was installed before i bought the boat. The other owner tied it into the solid red wire with a pig tail fuse holder. I am aware that it needs to be connected to a oil pressure switch which I plan to do. My question is where does this red wire come from. I guess broken wire or bad connection. The pump always came on as soon as the key switch was in the on position. The starter cranks but I have no fuel. Thanks for all help given.
