"twin 1988 454 FWC model 350's pre tune-up (plugs, wires, cap rotor, fuel filters, oil change, oil filter) both idled at 650-700 RPM. Post tune-up port idles at 500 RPM and Star idles at 900 RPM. replaced all wires one at a time so i'm sure they are all correct. Next is to check the timing 10 BTDC correct? If not do I adjust the idle speed at the carb?"

If I rememebr correctly, after your timing is set you can then set thte idle around 650-700. I am running about 650 on the running engine for the first time since I have owned the boat. Hopefully by Saturday they can both do it !"
